The basis for this company can be conveyed with a single word: Frames.

All projects, from the smallest home renovation type to the most advanced multinational space exploration, have something in common: At their core there lies a simple frame on which their success depends.

Nereus steel exists to create these frames so you to make your part the way you imagine it.

From different profiles such as tube, angle iron, and square tube we can make items such as furniture, bicycles, handrails, wheelchairs, subsea mining equipment, and crash bars for rally cars.

Welcome to Nereus Steel.
We’re happy that you’ve found us.

The basis for this company can be conveyed with a single word: Frames.

All projects, from the smallest home renovation type to the most advanced multinational space exploration, have something in common: At their core there lies a simple frame on which every facet of the projects success ultimatley depends.

Nereus steel exists to create these frames so you to make your part the way you imagine it.

From different profiles such as tube, angle iron, and square tube we can make items such as furniture, bicycles, handrails, wheelchairs, subsea mining equipment, and crash bars for rally cars.

Here at Nereus Steel we are assembling a library of the most basic yet versatile frames that when used in inventive ways – using variable dimensions, materials, and fabrication techniques – form the basis for all projects.

Our pride and joy lie in the bespoke service. We’ve enabled you to make the process as interactive as you like to allow you to get your own personalised design and costing plan together.

At Nereus steel we aren’t trying to overshadow your creative spark but rather we’re here to back you up. Nereus Steel is that strong foundation for your next project.

You will notice we litter this site with photos and rendered images. Simple pictures that we hope will help inspire you to engage with us.

We make our frames from a variety of metals but most often divert to aluminium. However, for those beautiful raw steel finishes you find on sterile counter tops stainless steel is a favorite and mild steels are old faithful, good for almost all applications.

On this site you’ll find downloadable pdfs for review as well as email portals for you to request bespoke sizing and a customised quote.

As we expand, we be adding a lot more products so we hope you will visit regularly to check on progress.

To get the ball rolling the following guide as an introduction to the types of joints you’ll find on any frame. We hope to hear from you soon.

Corner Finishes

The Tack Weld: You frame might not be structural at all in which case the joints don’t need to be welded but can left tacked. These are small welds that just about hold the frame together.

Corner Finishes

Depending on how critical the structure is we can stich weld or fully weld the joints. Stich welds are achieved by making a series of short welds. This leaves some parts of the joint not welded.

Corner Finishes

Frames can be left stich welded and mounting holes drilled. Some projects don’t require more than this. If looks arent important then there’s no reason to spend unnesssary time polishing it further.

Finishing

Its perfectly fine to leave the welds visible and powder coat the parts as is. Powder coating protects against corrosion. The less of the weld that is removed the stronger the part will be.

finishes

A bit of sanding can flatten the weld. This looks nice after powder coating but what you gain in looks detracts from strength.

Joint Finishes

The joints can be machined for a much higher class, elegant finish. This is usually the case when the raw metal remains on display and needs to be pleasing to the discerning eye. Here you would typically be fabricating the parts from Aluminium or Stainless Steel. This kind of finish is achieved through some involved polishing procedures and is perfect for showing of the natural attributes of the base material.

Finishing

Some parts might need special attention as to where the welds are positioned. A frame might need good looking joints from one angle but still need strength at the same time.

Fullfilling Criteria

Ideally once the project is compelte you have an elegant product with a blend of strength and looks. People will always guess how you achieved the final effect.
